Team driver:  Russell Jones

Racer Bio: Russell has been an on and off r/c Racer for over 10 years. His experience not only in r/c racing but full size racing is a valuable asset to the team and this company. Russell is one of the masterminds behind Racefactor Industries and is finally getting the chance to bring this company out into the light with superior manufacturing quality and a realistic price. They have started this company with one goal in mind, helping the privateer racers acheive their potential and provide a company that is really, For Racers By Racers. If you happen to see Russell at your local track please come up and say Hi I am sure he will be happy to answer any question you may have about our products or even try to help setup your car.

Team Driver Tip: To get good perfromance out of any engine, and make it easy to tune it is a good idea to seal it up to prevent any airleaks. I reccomend getting some Sensor Safe RTV Silicone Gasket Maker. You will want to remove the back plate and the carburetor and use the sealant to seal these areas. You will also want to remove all three needles. (high speed, low speed, idle.) Don't forget to count how many turns it took to unscrew them so you can put them back to the factory setting. Once you have the screws out you will want to wrap the threads with plumbers tape and re install them. If you follow these steps you will have an air tight engine which will be easier to tune and run better.

Troy was born in Owosso, MI and raised in Durand, Michigan.  Troy got started in R/C Car racing when he was 12 yrs. old.  That same year he competed in his 1st Electric race at a local track in Corunna. MI, this was his first offical 1ST PLACE FINISH.  He finished so well his first year that it caught the attention of the local news.  He was interviewed by WJRT Channel 12 news out of Flint, MI.  After the airing of this interview Troy was picked up by his first sponsor "Durand Chevy Olds"! He continued his sponsorship for 2 more years racing pan cars and off road.  At the end of his sponsorship he was approached by a man that enjoyed the sport but due to a disability was unable to race.  That man, Doug Conn, then picked Troy up as a sponsor.  Troy took several 1ST PLACE trophies while sponsored by Doug.  Troy took a break from racing in 1999.  He  found "NITRO OFF ROAD" racing in 2004, and began competetively racing in 2006.  In 2008, Troy was picked up by his 1st sponsor "Caster Racing".  He then was sponsored by Twister Tires, GO ENGINES/RACEFACTOR, and Werks racing. He has placed in the top 10 in the A main Truggy class at several different races.

Troy is a great guy and a great addition to our team.
